The AI Gold Rush Has a 24-Month Window

By philip johansen

I've been watching something interesting happen in the AI market and I've built my entire business around helping ordinary people capitalize on it.

Tech giants plan to spend $320 billion on AI in 2025. That number might hit $380 billion before the year ends. To put that in perspective: this exceeds the peak spending of the Manhattan Project, the Apollo missions, and the dot-com broadband build out.

But here's what matters more to you and me.

Brands Have Money But No Direction

Retail and consumer brands are allocating an average of 3.32% of revenue to AI. For a $1 billion company, that's $33.2 million annually. AI spending outside traditional IT budgets is projected to surge 52% this year.

The problem? 95% of enterprise AI implementations are failing. Only one in four AI initiatives deliver expected ROI. Fewer than 20% have scaled across organizations.

This creates the opportunity for regular people who know how to actually use AI.

The Expertise Gap Is Massive

Roughly 40% of enterprises lack adequate AI expertise internally. The same percentage of executives call talent shortage their top implementation barrier.

But here's the kicker: you don't need a computer science degree to fill this gap. The numbers tell the story: approximately 22,000 true AI specialists exist globally. Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of AI jobs remain open.

At the leadership level, 51% of business leaders report insufficient knowledge about AI models and tools. When rolling out AI agents, 54% cite lack of knowledge as the primary obstacle.

Brands have budgets. They need people who can show them how to use AI practically—not engineers, but translators who understand both business problems and AI solutions.

The Window Is Closing

The AI Agents market will grow from $7.84 billion in 2025 to $52.62 billion by 2030. That's a 46.3% compound annual growth rate.

But approximately one-third of companies have already begun scaling their AI programs. Building a proficient in-house AI team takes six months to two years, depending on complexity.

I estimate the window for regular people to step in and become paid AI consultants is 12 to 24 months.

After that, brands will have developed internal capabilities or locked into long-term partnerships. The people learning to leverage AI and position themselves as guides right now will capture the majority of this opportunity.

What This Means for You

You don't need to be a programmer or have a tech background. You just need to understand how to use AI tools and apply them to solve business problems.

The demand outpaces supply. The spending is unprecedented. The expertise gap is widening faster than companies can close it.

But the advantage is temporary.

This is exactly why I created my AI Partner System—to teach normal people how to leverage AI to make money online by becoming the bridge between AI technology and businesses that desperately need guidance. I've trained thousands of students with zero tech background to use AI tools and get paid to solve real business problems.

The people moving now are the ones who will establish themselves before the market saturates. The ones waiting for perfect timing will find themselves competing against established players with proven track records.

The gold rush isn't about mining. It's about selling shovels to miners who have money but don't know which tools to buy.

And the clock is running.
